The owner and founder Brandi Kneip didn't know what she wanted to do after high school. She did know that she wanted her career to involve teaching people about the environment and helping conserve it. Brandi had been living a zero waste life and found it hard due to the lack of resources. One day while cooking she had an epiphany. Instead of waiting for someone else to open a zero waste shop, she did it herself... two months before she graduated high school.

Our Mission

JAR The Zero Waste Shop was founded on the idea of being the change. In only a short time of being open we have seen a significant change in the community. Our goals are to help people live a less waste life and provide people with the resources to make it fun. All of us at JAR are proud of all the people that have decided to reduce their footprint on this earth. We encourage you to encourage others!

Zero Waste is only hard if you make it hard. Instead make it fun and get creative.
